Choosing a care home for someone you love is one of the hardest decisions a family can face. At Tregwilym Lodge we try to make it a little easier — with honest advice, an open door, and care that genuinely puts the person first. We support up to 69 residents living with dementia, from day-to-day help to complex nursing and end-of-life care, so people can stay with us as their needs change.

Every member of our team is trained in dementia care — so support is patient, familiar and tailored to each person.
Qualified nurses on site day and night, working closely with GPs and community health teams.
Experienced in all types of dementia, including complex needs, Parkinson's and diabetes.
Compassionate, dignified support so loved ones can remain in a familiar place.
Fresh meals prepared on site each day, tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
Music, gentle exercise, arts and outings that bring connection and joy.
Resident wifi in every room and a safe, secure environment throughout.

Tregwilym Lodge offers 69 bedrooms across four units — Laugharne, Powys, Raglan and Caernarfon — each named after a Welsh castle. Residents move freely between them to join activities and see friends.
We sit in a quiet residential part of Rogerstone, close to shops and the welfare ground, with easy access from the M4 for visiting family.

We are a specialist dementia nursing home. We provide 24-hour nursing care for people living with all types of dementia, including those with complex needs, alongside palliative and end-of-life care.

Care may be funded privately, through Local Authority support, or via NHS Continuing Healthcare. We're happy to talk you through the options — see our Fees & Funding page for more.
